At some point in our parenting journey, we will become discouraged. Probably many times. Sometimes our kids or their friends choose dangerous and destructive paths. There is nothing like the powerful testimony of a life transformed to encourage us in our own walk with the Lord and in our parenting.

In episode 60 of CHRISTIAN PARENT/CRAZY WORLD, I continue my riveting conversation with Blake Howard, the committed church kid raised in a Christian home who struggled with same sex attraction from a very young age. Then, tragically, Blake was molested and bullied in school for acting gay. So after high school, he embraced homosexuality. He was also addicted to drugs and was doing drag to receive the love and affirmation that his heart longed for. (Blake shares this part of his testimony in Episode 59.)

As Paul Harvey used to say… “Now, the rest of the story.” You will hear about Blake’s dramatic alter-call conversion to belief in Christ, his deliverance from drug addiction through the power of the Holy Spirit, and his continued struggle with homosexuality and eventual complete submission to Christ in that area of his life. You’ll also hear about his marriage, parenting, and how he came to be a minister.
