What is the best defense that we have for the Christian faith?
If you listened to Episode 100 of CHRISTIAN PARENT/CRAZY WORLD, you know what it is. And the cool thing is that everyone is qualified to offer this defense.
It is…
EXPERIENCE.
Your experience with God is the best defense you have for your faith.
And this is super cool too… in the last episode, I highlighted the five primary apologetic approaches for defending the Christian faith. While varying greatly on inception points, strategy, philosophy and subject matter, all of the approaches agree on the superiority of our personal experience as a rationale for our Christian belief.
A person’s experience with God is powerful and preeminent. Why? Well, offering a personal testimony of how God has transformed your life is the one defense that no one can dispute, because it is your experience. A personal encounter with God solidifies your faith, making it rational, robust, real, and resolute. (I get extra points for all that alliteration.)
So how can we experience God regularly? How can we encounter Him more deeply?
In Episode 101 of CP/CW, I walk through 10 practical ways that you and your kids can experience God like never before.
The items on this list are not revolutionary, but implementing them are. To learn how to experience God in ten powerful ways, tune into this inspiring message on Life Audio by clicking on the image below:
